Decoding the Future: The Vital Role of Science in Shaping Our World

Image
The 2025 National Science Month celebration, with its theme "Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation," highlights a big change in how people connect with new areas of science. This theme goes further than just finding new things; it stresses the careful and planned use of new information and technologies. It asks for an active way to understand and use the large, unexplored areas of scientific study, understanding that the "unknown" is not empty but full of possible answers for what society will need in the future.     Over the next years, the connection between science and society will likely change a lot, growing into a more active and shared partnership. Instead of science just giving findings for society to use, we will see more back-and-forth conversation. Fast steps in areas like artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and quantum computing will need society to be involved to guide what research is important. So...

Climate Change: The Impact on Filipino Communities

Image
Climate change brings big problems to the Philippines, especially because of our location. Being an island nation makes us super vulnerable. When the sea level rises, coastal towns get flooded. Stronger typhoons destroy homes and farms. These events disrupt how Filipinos live and make it hard to earn a living.       One of the biggest causes of climate change is pollution from wealthier countries. Factories and cars in these places release a lot of harmful gases. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere, which warms the earth. Even though the Philippines doesn't produce as much pollution, we suffer a lot from its effects.       Another problem is how we use our natural resources. Cutting down forests for wood or to make way for buildings removes trees that absorb carbon dioxide. Mining also damages the environment and releases harmful substances. When we don't take care of our resources, we make climate change worse.      ...

The ISNHS Intramurals 2025 was a blast, especially if you caught the basketball games at the gym! The bleachers were packed with students from all year levels, decked out in their house colors, cheering their hearts out. The basketball players were really good, and they worked together well. It was exciting to see them play hard and be good sports. The games made everyone feel like they were part of the same team, even if they were cheering for different sides. You could feel the energy as the ISNHS athletes showed off some serious skills on the court. It wasn't just about winning, it was about seeing everyone come together and support their classmates.      But the ISNHS Intramurals 2025 offered more than just basketball. Over at the field, there were other sports events happening. It was a chance for everyone to shine in their own way, whether they were star players or just giving it their best shot. It was a good way to have fun, try new things, and...
