Decoding the Web: My ICT Adventure

Ever wondered how websites come to life? This quarter in ICT, I traded curiosity for code, diving headfirst into the world of HTML tags. It's been a journey of discovery, challenges, and a whole lot of learning.       The biggest takeaway from this quarter was definitely understanding HTML tags. Before, websites seemed like magic, but now I know they're built with simple instructions. I learned how to use tags to create headings, paragraphs, add images, and make links. It's like learning a new language that computers understand, and it's given me a whole new perspective on the internet.        Of course, it wasn't all smooth sailing. During the hands-on activities, I made plenty of errors. There were times when my code wouldn't work, or the website would look completely different from what I expected. It was frustrating, but I knew that mistakes are part of the learning process.    To overcome these challenges, I had to be patie...

Discovering San Ildefonso: A Hidden Gem in Ilocos Sur

Image
Have you ever stumbled upon a place that completely surprised you? That's San Ildefonso for me. Tucked away in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, this small town is more than just a dot on the map; it's a treasure trove of history, culture, and unexpected sights.        My adventure began with the iconic Airplane Cafe. Okay, so the cafe isn't running anymore, but the airplane itself? Still there, right in front of the municipal hall! It’s a surreal sight, a massive airplane in the middle of a provincial town. I learned it used to be a popular cafe, and even though it's closed, it remains a favorite spot for photos. Imagine that: sipping coffee inside an airplane, right in the heart of Ilocos Sur. It's a quirky, unforgettable landmark.      Next, I visited the Saint Ildefonse Parish Church. This church has seen centuries pass by. Originally a simple chapel in 1709, it became a full-fledged parish in 1875. The convent was built in 1803, and the...

The Heroes in Disguise: Celebrating Teacher’s Month

Image
Imagine a world without guidance, a journey without a map. That’s what life would be without teachers. This Teachers Month, as we celebrate under the theme “My Teacher, My Hero”, it’s time to recognize the incredible individuals who dedicate their lives to molding our future. They are the unsung heroes who shape futures, ignite passions, and instill values that last a lifetime.      How can we truly express our gratitude for their hard work and dedication? It starts with recognizing their sacrifices. A simple, sincere “thank you” can brighten their day, but going beyond words can make an even bigger impact. Share stories of how their lessons inspired you, how their encouragement lifted you during tough times, and how their belief in you fueled your dreams. A handwritten note detailing how their lessons extended beyond the classroom, shaping your character and perspective is a powerful way to show appreciation. Small tokens of appreciation, like a handm...
